Hitting the ground running...
Nov. 15th, 2015 08:16 amGot up early, had a nice breakfast, made some coffee using my Aeropress.
"Life is good," I say to myself.
I fire up the computer and get to work.
And my machine hangs.
Upon rebooting, it turns out the translation memory file I've been using has been corrupted.
The software's repair feature basically tells me it won't touch the file with a 1010-foot pole, as it claims to keep reading "past the end of the buffer."
In any event, I'm now reconstructing the TM from scratch, and will have to take a pass through what I have done to add new translations done since Friday.
Just the thing I planned to do this morning. (Not!)
About the only silver lining I can see is that it's not all that hard to reconstruct the file up to last Friday.
But by golly, by the time I finish with this, I shall have lost 90 minutes of valuable time.
