Rechnung los!
Dec. 29th, 2015 03:44 pmThe subject is undoubtedly horrid German, but after watching part of The Enemy Below earlier today, I figured I'd essay it again on the occasion of having sent off the last invoice of the year!
Here's hoping it won't be long before I am able to use the phrase again in the New Year.
* * * I appear to again be the victim of what is formally called "involuntary musical imagery" (aka, an "earworm").
This time, however, instead of having Does The Chewing Gum Lose Its Flavor On The Bedpost Overnight? echo endlessly between my ears, I am being assaulted by a theme that recurs in Tchaikovsky's Violin Concerto in D Major (Opus 35, I. Allegro moderato)—specifically, the theme that served as inspiration for the music in the movie The Right Stuff.
There are worse things to suffer through, I suppose. (ツ)
Cheers...
