Just one of those days...
Jun. 16th, 2016 07:03 pmSo I drag out my Trezor device (think of it as a digital device for storing cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin), plug it into a new installation of Multibit HD, and... nothing.
Nada.
Zip.
Zilch.
No recognition at all.
It's not like I have a lot of money tied up in the Bitcoin stored on the device, but given the current price (somewhere around $750 per Bitcoin), I figured maybe I could make a couple of credit card payments after trading the Bitcoin for ordinary lucre, except the darned device would not allow itself to be recognized.
Normally, I'd go look on the web for a solution, except that I had sort of blindly allowed memoQ to upgrade itself on my main machine this morning, and—I think I may have mentioned a similar problem before—the application came up with absolutely no knowledge of any of my project files.
Ouch!
Fortunately, there was nothing "on fire," but it took me the better part of the day (some of it spent waiting for a Windows update to install on my computer, with questionable success, but that's an entirely different issue—I think.)
More doctor visits on the horizon.
Just one thing after another...
