My first Dreamwidth post.

Not very substantial, I'm afraid.

Earlier, I called Mr. S, who was the father of a girl I knew at the university and hired me for three summers to work with him at an engineering firm in Manhattan. He's in his 90s now, and I feel so fortunate that I've been able to keep in touch with him.
