Yesterday was a strange day. Almost any kind of effort made me want to lie down, and when I did, I'd lie there for perhaps ten to fifteen minutes, fully conscious (though with eyes closed), whereupon I could get up and resume whatever it was I was doing.

Most of what I was doing had to do with spackling the holes in the walls and cutting in the edges of the ceiling over at the Webster house. Today was a continuation of that, with no overwhelming desire to lie down at any time, and I ended the day with all holes spackled and sanded (except for two large holes that are going to require special backing) and the ceiling in the two subordinate bedrooms, the corridor, and the open living–dining room space cut in, leaving the rest of the ceiling surface ready for paint. (Which reminds me: I need to cut the ceilings in the bedroom closets and (maybe) the bathroom, too.)

I shall have to get up sufficiently early tomorrow morning to finish off and send one of two translations, and then get over to the Webster house by 9:30 am or so, to meet a prospective tenant, who is being brought over by the real-estate broker in whose office Galina hangs her license. I've been given to understand by Galina that I'm under no pressure for this meeting (which reminds me that I need to review the prospective tenant's application before I leave for the Webster house tomorrow morning).

Lots of reminders, I guess.

I'm going to have to make sure I get some quality rack time in tonight!
