Late start...
Nov. 19th, 2017 09:28 pmWe finally got on the road around 11 am. By the time we put up for the day, we had passed Sweetwater, Texas, but not quite made it to Lubbock.
A strange tale. Sometime early in the year, I lost track of my Kaweco Duo fountain pen at the Webster house. It got to the point where I simply assumed it had gotten thrown out with a bunch of stuff that certain parties deem worthless.
Then, while cleaning off the top of my bed in preparation for departure this morning (the way I pack, I put all of the "candidate" stuff on the bed, pack away what I think I'll need, and then clear away the rest) what should I see but... the Kaweco Duo!
The pen works, but there's something wacky with the feed, because it simply pumps ink. Still, I am glad to have recovered it.
