The day started with a long walk with the dogs. I then edged everything that needed edging up front and cut the rest of the lawn. By the time I was finished, I was soaked in sweat.

I then "turned to" to finish an annoying assignment that consisted of 12 files, a good number of which were PDFs (which generally means an extra OCR step, which turned out to be the case here).

After a short nap in the early afternoon, I set about cutting the grass in the back yard, which was a fairly daunting affair, as the recent rains (and work) had kept me from doing the job for a couple of weeks.

Another long walk in the evening added yet another 20 minutes or so to the day's exercise.

I'm looking forward to that "energized" feeling folks say comes with exercise. So far, all I'm feeling is very, very tired (but I think that's the lupron talking).

Looking forward to some quality rack time tonight, as this coming week is going to be a big one.

Cheers...

From what I glimpsed of the lupron side-effects, it can make you awfully tired. Chemo too, as my husband could attest. Lots of unplanned napping, on top of having to schedule naps.

Exerting in the heat and humidity, though, too... if you're sweating a lot, I'm assuming you're overheated. Is the break in the rain just a chance for temps to drive up toward normal there? Either way, I find it just saps the energy right out of you. "Mind over matter" does not seem to help!

That fatigued feeling is definitely a part of life. I asked my doctor whether the feeling was an indicator of the body requiring rest (said another way, was it okay for me to try to "work through" the fatigue?) and she said no, not really.

That said, I've been feeling a bit more chipper these past couple of days. Maybe it takes a while for the exercise to kick in...
