alexpgpThe nap I took earlier today yesterday was sound enough to keep me refreshed for quite a while... witness this late night post. Checking in also revealed that I post on which I'd been working never actually got posted (now fixed).
Further research into why the code in org-collector.el appears not to work on my Linux laptop suggested that something might be wrong with my .emacs file, and while performance improved dramatically upon moving some stuff around, it's still not at 100%.
The important thing to keep in mind is that I'm getting closer to resolving this issue. In the meantime, the coordination between my org data files on my Windows machine and my Linux laptop has broken down, which means I'll have to compare the files at some time in the future to make sure all changes get made to both files. That comparison session should take place soon, as whatever differences exist leave me vulnerable, to one degree or another.
