Encountered while reading a review of last night's first X Files episode.
Mulder may want to believe—I wanted to really, really like this reboot. So far, I'm lukewarm, based on last night's outing.
But I'll keep watching, remaining on the lookout for what made me a fan in the first place.

This led to the slang term, "Jossing," referencing Joss Whedon's decision to throw people's expectations of canon out the window.
Or, as I tend to think of it, jerking around his audience.
It's one thing to create surprise in a larger story arc, but if you make people think you're trashing your own canon, that's not good. :(
