alexpgp...having Word crash on me.
I must be the world's biggest chump in this department, since I keep forgetting the prime rule of working with Microsoft applications: save early and often.
It turns out, however, that AutoRecover was in effect, so in the end, my outburst in response to an abiding belief that almost two hours of work had gone pffft was uncalled for.
Mostly.
BTW, I broke my fast while waiting for the machine to reboot. I know I'm giving in, but there is no honor in being pig-headed about things, either. We'll try again some other time, on a day where the stress level imposed by Windows is somewhat less, um, intense.
