alexpgpLee called and said they're about halfway through the move, and expect to come down toward Pearland, bearing some of Lee's things (I would imagine we're talking about that television), after which we'll probably end up in our tenant's neighborhood about 7 pm or so. I'm holding off calling until things are a bit more definite.
The laundry is done. The place is cleaner, but not clean. I've not touched anything as far as what I'm taking back with me is concerned. I remembered that I had some updates to do to the ATA's Slavic Languages Division web page, and that efforts to do those updates earlier in the week had died long, gurgling deaths owing to the fact that I could not upload files to the server. For a while, there, I thought the problem was on my side of the connection, but it eventually dawned on me that, perhaps, the solution lay at the other end.
A couple of calls to the ATA Headquarters confirmed the problem and straightened it out, but it seems regardless of how significant or small a change may be, it generally takes me about three times as long as I think it should to do a web site update. The time-eater here was a title in Ukrainian, whose alphabet has a couple of letters not found in the Russian alphabet (e.g., "...своєрідності мовлення українця"), which required a bit of research from the Unicode perspective.
Still a bunch of stuff to do, regardless of where I turn.
