alexpgp | Good start...

While Galina and Lee watched a series on pyramids on TLC (I sat in on part of it, regrettably it was the segment on human sacrifice... yech), I went out to the living room and finished off Ill Wind by Nevada Barr. I'd started the book some time back, but did not find it a captivating read. Nonetheless, when I found a second book by Barr on sale at a garage sale, the jacket blurb sounded so enticing, I decided to give the author another try. The introduction of a Columbo-like FBI agent gave the lead character someone concrete to play off of, and the climax of the story was actually pretty good. I think the lead character might grow on me.

* * *I called client T in Houston to ask what questions they had about my invoice. The question was asked by them and satisfactorily answered. I also got a nice note from client I in California congratulating me on my timely and professional work.
