Spider update...

Part of the departure plan included a load of laundry, and as I was stuffing the washer full of clothes, I happened to look out the window and noticed the web of the Nephila clavipes had been fully restored. So, I grabbed my Canon and decided to see if I could get a decent shot of the animal.

How's this?



Of course, the shot gives you no idea of the size of the critter, so Natalie graciously volunteered her hand for the following photo:

Uh... good call. Though with a Polar Bear you tend to know then they're decending toward your head... and if you don't... well the impact usually makes that a moot point.
