I awoke almost two hours ago and have not been able to fall asleep again. It's this bond business, I suppose. The fact that the issue is in doubt annoys me. Moreover, though it's likely I'm misinterpreting something, I also have mixed feelings of outrage and embarrassment ("Am I that much of a risk to abscond with the post office's funds?") The last news I heard from my prospective agent is that the insurance company is waiting on the results of a credit report.

We had dinner last night with Mike and Karen. It was a nice evening; we spent the last few minutes of sunlight on their patio, then moved inside for dinner. It helped for me to get my mind off my cares, if even for only an hour or two.

I may as well get my carcass truly out of bed. There's a potload of things to do today.
