About crm...

alexpgpThe other day, I had complained about a problem with the crm spam filter. It had simply stopped working on onegin. I went back to using SpamAssassin, which had lost some of its edge in filtering out the drek that clogs my inboxes.
One of the things I am learning to look for when programs that used to work under Linux stop working suddenly is to see if the program deals with a file that has grown to 51 MB. Initially, it didn't occur to me to look for any such file in the crm directory, but when I finally got around to doing so, there it was: a file of the requisite (over)size. After making sure it really wasn't something essential, I deleted it.
The crm program works fine, now, and is giving SpamAssassin less and less of an opportunity to catch stuff. I expect tomorrow I'll be able to comment out the recipe in my .procmailrc file that runs SpamAssassin and rely exclusively on crm.
