In the starting blocks...
Dec. 3rd, 2004 08:07 amOnce the morning shift arrives, I'm out of here with another invoiceable week.
My to-do list runneth over.
The day shift of Russian controllers has arrived, but my relief has not. This is unusual because typically, the reason for a delayed arrival is a telecon, but there are virtually never any telecons scheduled for Fridays (since 7 am Houston time is 4 pm Moscow time, and Russians -- like Americans -- enjoy going home on Friday at a reasonable hour). We'll see.
Cheers...
My to-do list runneth over.
- I need to call Galina and find out what stuff, if any, she wants me to bring home with me, besides the stuff I brought with me to begin with.
- I need to find the key to my car (which is still at the Durango airport; I should probably have $75 in cash on me in case the toll collector doesn't take credit cards).
- I need to do laundry (although it's not as if I've never gone home with a suitcase bulging with dirty clothes before).
- I need to arrange for a visit to the heart clinic in Durango before my Kazakhstan trip. Apparently, it's been over a year since my last visit and all my prescriptions are in danger of running out. I do not want that to happen while I am overseas.
- Somewhat longer term (i.e., Monday), I need to invoice my work and submit an expense report.
- Also on Monday, I need to buy a ticket for Kazakhstan.
- I need to arrange to visit my parents once I get back from Kazakhstan. (I may have mentioned my dad sounded kind of stressed when I spoke to him a couple of days ago.)
