More work arrived today, and I feel a bit like the fellow who parched his way across the desert and is now enjoying the rain, but starting to wonder if, perhaps, he's parked in an arroyo. But only a bit.

I spent far too much time on research, but then again, accounting is so not my forte, and I've been tasked with doing a job that's good enough not to have to review. I'm flattered, but at the same time, I'm a little intimidated.

So I have just under 4000 source words to go in the accounting job, 2600 source words in an acoustics report, and a few hours and I'd guess about 2000 source words in two fairly graphics-intensive files. (I have no intention of editing all the graphics; I plan to key as much as I possibly can.)

To get all this done by between midday and 3 pm Thursday, I'm going to have to pretty much finish the accounting job tomorrow and most of the acoustics on Wednesday, which will leave Thursday morning to finish and send the acoustics and the rest of the time to review and dispatch the accounting job. (Just typing out loud, sorry.)

Cheers...

If you have any doubts about accounting terminology, yell - Chris is pretty reliable on that, including US terminology (20 years doing US accounting do that to a guy, apparently). Send questions to the k...cb address though as I'll be in Lyon for 2 days as of tomorrow lunchtime.

I'm back on to a) pension funds and b) project management for the 2010 World Cup... which all has to be done and dusted before I leave. Ouch.

Thanks for the offer. I just may take you up on it, as there are a couple of turns of the phrase that, um, worry me.

Cheers...
