Catch-up...

I finally ran iPodder on my desktop, for the first time in it seems eternity, and ended up downloading over a gig of material, including all the recent stuff from the Bluegrass Preservation Society and botar's old time radio, so I guess I'll have stuff to listen to on the way to New York.
I managed to process just about half the new translation work from my Houston client (a horde of new safety reports), and put away another 1400 words of the work for the new client (who happens to be in New York... with just a little effort and less brains, I could probably hand-deliver the translation, but I digress...). This puts me in fabulous position to finish everything that was piled on my plate before leaving for Albuquerque, um, tomorrow.
Ulp!
Flying from Durango turned out to be about 65% more expensive and involved flying to Phoenix (or further west) before heading east on a redeye. Taking that into account, a round trip to Albuquerque seems a small price to pay for a reasonable itinerary that doesn't try to stress me out.
In other audio news, I only just found out (which means that you have probably learned and forgotten) that the latest version of Winamp (5.1) comes with something described as "AOL Radio with XM," which is fairly nifty. I'd probably go and spring for the whole nine yards and subscribe to either XM or Sirius if they offered something really offbeat, such as broadcasts from Russia or France, which for now remain out of "normal" reach (but one can still hope).
Tomorrow, I plan to finish the item for the new client as well as the remaining new and rework files. That will leave only a review to be performed before submitting them.
And invoicing them, to be sure. :^)
Cheers...
