It's ba-ack!
Mar. 12th, 2006 09:45 amThe water.
We've got water flowing from our taps again, for the first time since shortly after returning from Houston in January.
Halloo! Hallay! O frabjous day!
I guess it took, what? five straight days of snow to unfreeze the line?
One of my first supervisors was right: hydraulics ain't a science... it's an art!
Cheers...

Spellchecker bust?
Date: 2006-03-13 12:41 am (UTC)O Person to whom accuracy means so much ~ as a general rule ~ Iffen you are quoting from "Jabberwocky" in Lewis Carroll's "Alice in Wonderland", me thinks it goes:
"...Calloo! Callay! O frabjous day!
he chortled in his joy..."
Pardon the editorial intrusion, and Huzzah for the returned water flow!
Re: Spellchecker bust?
Date: 2006-03-13 02:43 am (UTC)As it turns out, I diddle e'en realize I was quoting - or misquoting - the "J" poem, though I verily did - in a delerium brought on by the free flow of water, no doubt - misspell 'frabjous'.
Thank you kindly, miss.
Cheers...
P.S. I'd type it out a hundred times as penance - or am I getting that confused with the partial name of an opera by Gilbert and Suleiman? - but I know myself: I'd be tempted to type it once, then cut and paste in typematic mode.
Re: Spellchecker bust?
Date: 2006-03-13 05:18 am (UTC)No penance required, kind sir, because of that courtly 'miss'. (No one has called me that in years!)
