Those frequent crashes took their toll on my productivity. Between waiting for the disk checks to complete after each crash and having to retranslate the last few lines of what I'd been working on, my progress early today was glacial. Once I offloaded everything onto my VAIO, and got another "install" code for Wordfast, I was able to get my deficit down to just over 500 words by the time Galina called me to come to the store.

That was an experience. Drew was upset with the world (in the form of a pile of unprocessed UPS packages - it must've been a long, busy day - and an utter lack of appreciation for his mother's work-related guidance), and it didn't take long for his attitude to rub off on me, so I was not displeased to see him and Galina leave after the UPS pickup. In the middle of it all, I got a call from Olga, with whom I will be working in Kazakhstan, and although I cannot put my finger on it, I get the feeling that my phone manner may have been lacking. I just sent an email to her, apologizing, just in case.

After coming home, I finished off the remaining words of today's quota, and upon hitting the "7,000-words-to-go" mark, just kept on working for a while, leaving about 6,200 words in the assignment when I finally got to a good stopping point. If I manage to put away my planned 3,500 words tomorrow, that'll leave a pleasant 2,700 for Wednesday, which would be nice.

I was happy to note that my "ambient" pre-med BP today was 124/80 at 62 or so heartbeats per minute; almost normal. I am currently not so happy to recall that as a result, I forgot to take my meds which is not a good idea whatever my current BP might be. Still... almost normal is not bad.

Cheers...
