Natalie called as I posted my previous tappings, and we arranged for her to come down around 6 pm. I took a brief nap, and then called her to tell her to pick me up at the Kroger down the street, so that I might make use of her car to take home some heavier items.

Dinner was leg of lamb with store-bought mashed potatoes, which went well. After dinner, Natalie sat down with me and shepherded me through some first baby steps in WoW.

The game struck positive and negative chords. Positive, because there's a modicum of interest in developing one's character and solving "quests," and there is something of a "wow" factor associated with the graphical environment and all the work that's gone into creating it (though that may pale); negative, because I can see just what kind of time sink this game can become (indeed, I have, with Natalie).

I took advantage of the free trial at Audible.com and find it interesting that I can get a 52-hour reading of Atlas Shrugged as my free download. (I don't think so.) The jury is still receiving instructions on what to look for in a freebie.

Cheers...
