Or as "done" as I can get under the circumstances.
The local library held an event today, pianist Viktor Zaitsev playing a variety of numbers with a little Victor Borge and Liberace thrown in, according to the circular. I had kind of been looking forward to getting out of the house for an event like this for a while, in fact, if only because I am becoming ever more acutely aware of my single-minded pursuit of work, trying to keep the ol' financial nostrils above water.
I suppose one could argue that, had I more self-discipline, I would have squelched last night's excursion into the wilds of Linux and instead concentrated on my translation, so as to have made this afternoon's piano recital.
Maybe, if one were Mrs. Grundy.
My take on the subject is this: it is more likely I was close enough to going bonkers with the translation that I simply had to switch gears and think about something else for a while before returning to the grind.
Anyway, the library is going to show La Vie en Rose late this coming week, and Galina and I plan on going. As far as the current translation is concerned, it is due tomorrow at mid-day, which ought to be plenty of time to review and address formatting issues.
Cheers...
