A quiet Sunday... more or less
Sep. 29th, 2002 08:33 pmWe cooked, entertained, and were entertained, all in one day.
Strange, iffy weather came blowing by, allowing us the rare view of a complete rainbow in the morning, and another one in the afternoon. It would appear there are pots of gold all around us.
Mike and Karen T. came by in the early afternoon, and Galina bent their ear about the changes she wants to make in the house. John's got an architectural background, which was the basis of the ear-bending, and his suggestions made a lot of sense to me. Galina has a laundry list of things she'd like to do, but I'm of the "cherry-picking" school of home improvement: find the things that are relatively easy and don't necessarily cost a lot of money, and do those. Forget the rest, unles you have the time and the money.
For a third weekend in a row, we got together with the kids, this time at their house. Drew prepared steaks and zucchini, and we had a pretty good family time. I'm starting to look forward to these weekly events.
I'm fairly proud of myself, with regard to the additional pages to El Humungo (a.k.a. "Humungo Jr."): I have not devoted more than 10 minutes to them since they arrived. I plan to hit them hard tomorrow morning, and then again in the afternoon. Ideally, I'd like to get them out of my life by Wednesday (and not Thursday), which will give me an additional day to work on the paper chase.
One of the issues related to switching PDAs from Palm to anything else is the financial investment I've made in the Palm software. It's something to think about.
A good day, all in all. They all are, actually.
Cheers...
