That's the verdict from the doctor's office, though I think I probably gave it away by talking, moving around, and paying my bill. I've got an echocardiogram scheduled in two weeks, and they'd like to see how much cholesterol there is in my blood as well.

I had planned to do the item due Friday this morning, but new work interfered, to the point where I left the house without my BP cuff or my PalmPilot, where I have been recording readings for some time. I was also distracted by a hot LinkedIn message, from a California firm with a possible interest in engaging my services to help market a Russian software company in the United States (right up my alley, I think, between my translation and software marketing experience). I also took the time to reply to a ProZ job posting looking for someone to record spoken text (strange to look for a speaking voice on a site for translators, but it didn't hurt to apply, or take much time).

Getting back to my health, as is usually the case, my BP looked a lot worse at the doctor's office than it did at home. After the doctor's offce, I stopped by the Office Depot to pick up some seriously cheap paper (on sale at something like 45% off, at just over $2.00 per ream), ate at the Mongolian B-B-Q, and then made a pass through the Wal-Mart, though I didn't buy much.

Nonetheless, I am one seriously shopped-out dude.

Although tomorrow is not "the last minute," I shall do my best to file unemployment taxes for the store (due Saturday). I do not look forward to the exercise. Also, I need to finalize the paper chase around here.

Between now and then, however, I feel nothing short of a vacation coming on!

Cheers...
