A quiet day...
Jul. 3rd, 2006 05:44 pmIt turns out I am part of the so-called "early" team, as the main contingent is scheduled to arrive on the 6th. Today started with - surprise! - a meeting where folks introduced themselves and set forth what they expected to get done in the next couple of days.
The result has been a fairly quiet day for the interpretation staff, though not entirely without things to do. The activity level will likely take an uptick tomorrow as people start to work with hardware in earnest and we translators receive a slug of certificates that'll keep us at the keyboards for a while. Keeping this last item in mind, it was good to receive our network logins and passwords, as well as some clarification regarding our laptop computers (all the interpreters, it turns out, have shown up with their own hardware).
The workday has turned out to be long-ish. I suspect we'll be leaving soon.
Cheers...
