Oct. 17th, 2010 10:17 pmThe morning was taken up despeckling translations and sending them off, together with invoices. October isn't exactly on track, but it's not bad, either.
The afternoon was mostly taken up with cooking, with most of my attention centered on roasting the prime rib I had bought last week. I followed instructions very nearly religiously and ended up with a roast that looked and tasted like fine-restaurant quality. Even Galina, who avoids eating meat and has generally bad things to say about it pronounced the roast as excellent.
I liked it, myself.
After the kids and grandkids went home, Galina and I watched A Very Long Engagement, with Audrey Tautou (and a surprise -for me - appearance by Jody Foster). The plot was quite complicated, but I liked the film, even if it was very long.
Bck to the grind tomorrow, I guess.
