Geetting out of the old place was fairly straightforward, so much so that we had about 90 minutes of dead time waiting for the condo we had originally wanted to become available again. Once there, I was not impressed. While I was aware of the lack of a broadband connection, I didn't expect there to be no television hookup either. Although I can do (and have done) without The Tube, there are some shows Galina andI do enjoy (even if sometimes they're not the same show).
Fortunately, i did finally run across an outfit that provides cable and Internet for short terms, and while the price is a little high, it's not as if we have to sign a long-term commitment or pay $10 per gigabyte of data.
The DVD player in the living room works. We found that out by watching Hugo, which was pretty good, but not a go-out-and-buy-myself-a-copy kiind of tale.
A new client made an appearance today, with a fairly large file and a long deadline. Now all I need is a formal notice to proceed with the work.
Cheers...
