Sitting down to watch more Doc Martin last night resulted in a rude shock. Without any warning, Netflix's inventory of streamed episodes went from something like 30+ on Saturday down to 6, i.e., cut back to just the first season of episodes.

I left Netflix a piece of my mind on the subject (expiration of the streaming license for the now-absent episodes is a fact, not an explanation) and headed on over to Hulu plus to watch the show there.

While dreaming last night, it occurred to me quite lucidly that the translation industry has set up a pretty neat scam in getting freelancers to pay significant amounts of cash to buy software that doesn't really make their life any easier, since so many agencies use the existence of such software to force prices down even further. I think the subject is worth more thought and a separate essay, so further this deponent saith naught (for the nonce).

Back to work!
