...and a wakeup!
Oct. 1st, 2015 10:23 pmWell, tomorrow is when the doctors say it will be okay to take out the catheter. These past 10 days or so have been... awkward, and an event last night (about which further deponent saith not) made it all the more so. My spirits continue to improve, and I think the improvement in the sight of my right eye is largely responsible for this phenomenon.
I got rid of the Raspberry Pi end of my Synergy experiment. The poor thing (a) is barely able to keep up and (b) the version of Synergy it runs is not capable of doing the apparent screen-to-screen transfer of clipboard content that I require for the experiment to work.
I'm uncovering additional little gotchas, here and there, the principal of which is the inability to use the carefully crafted Autohotkey macros that have served me so well on my Windows box.
On the other hand, I'm finding that running emacs on Linux give me features I could not get on Windows, not without an extensive amount of reconfiguration.
Work came in. Work went out. If today was an average payday, then October might actually turn out to be a good month.
Cheers...
