Progress of a poor sort...
Oct. 5th, 2015 09:43 pmI can see the progress on the paper—a column of 'X's scrawled through a list of to-dos—but I just don't feel as if any progress is being made. Strange.
Maybe it's the fatigue. I'm still tired for much of the day, and I may have even drifted off for an hour this afternoon.
Maybe it's making the mental shift to accept the fundamental change that is the result of my recent surgery. Apropos of which, I got a letter from Blue Cross informing me that my medical insurance plan was going to be cancelled at the end of the year; I fully expect they'll offer something similar for only half again as much money. I can't wait.
One of the things I got to work using the Windows version of emacs was a feature of org mode that lets me extract information from the file I maintain about assignments to create a bare-bones invoice. I got this to work in elisp, which is the version of Lisp that permeates the warp and woof of the emacs editor.
Something in the code does not please emacs running under Linux, and I simply didn't have the patience to figure out what was going on. Maybe that's the reason for my feeling of "not having gotten enough done."
The pillow beckons. I will not resist. Tomorrow will be a big day.
Cheers...
