alexpgpThat was the title of an e-mail I just sent via a web interface, seeing as how DSL is out all over town (or at least at my office, at the store, and at the local Radio Shack).
Finding that out (lack of DSL) was just a loving dot on the "i" of Insanity, a word that aptly describes the rest of the day.
I sent the wrong version of a translation to client M in Houston. The problem is not large, but I hate it when that happens.
Following up a number of issues (payments to various people, filing tax documents with the IRS, and so on) took up most of my time, leaving me too tuckered out to make much progress on the translation front.
About the only promising point of the day was my visit to a massage therapist about my right shoulder, which has been making me painfully aware of its limited range of movement for the past several months. I thought maybe I kept re-injuring some kind of sprain.
According to the therapist, he thinks one of my bicep tendons has moved out of position, and suggested I see a chiropractor. I think I will.
Anyway... my visit to the Radio Shack was for the purpose of buying a "backup" 'net capability via an outfit called Slingshot. I'm going to can NetZero as soon as DSL comes back, as the Slingshot alternative appears to be loads more economical for occasional use.
