The deadline for that job that came in over the cell phone as I was departing for the conference could not be extended, so I remained jobless for the day. After spending some time at the store, I went home and started to "recover" from the trip and all.

Among other things, it has become clear to me that I need to revamp my professional web site. A while ago, Zack U. highly recommended an application called CityDesk, but I never really got into it. After getting a chunk of "recovery" out of the way today, I dove back in, trying to find my way through the program. I almost made it.

Actually, I've "published" the files of the site to a test directory, and the basic navigation seems to work okay. CityDesk does not support PHP, and I did enough "previewing" (involving loading and unloading browser windows) to thoroughly mess up memory management (or something) on my desktop, so that any attempt to proceed with making changes to the PHP files inside of CityDesk was met with failure. Perhaps tomorrow, I'll dive in and make the changes before abusing my computer's resources like that.

One of the things that Atlanta underscored for me was my rather poor level of physical fitness. I need to stop talking about doing something about it, and actually do it.

Cheers...
