Things are looking up...

We got a call at the store at about 10 am. It was the Humane Society, and they were calling to say that someone had found a dog that looked like it might be Sasha. I followed up and indeed, it was Sasha.
The dog had apparently spent two days and nights out in the wild (my best guess, based on an examination of her paws, which were pretty raw), and was weak. She turned up around 3 miles from the house.
Very unusual.
I got some more of the paper chase done today, but there is lots more to do. I'm really not in the mood to spend more time on it today, so I may go upstairs and either watch A Walk in the Sun, or join Galina in front of the lobotomy tube and watch something contemporary. A quick look at the first few minutes of the DVD tell me that the version I watched on TV when I was a kid was significantly "edited for television," or it may simply be that my memory of the film is too, too old.
Ming is really happy to see Sasha, as evidenced by him not leaving her alone since she's returned. Sasha just wants to lie on her side and sleep, and gets up only with difficulty. I need to go mediate a dispute...
Cheers...
