Okay, I admit it...
Jul. 27th, 2003 07:30 pmYesterday's play is having an effect.
Shortly after posting this morning, I decided I would don my swimming trunks, drive down Galveston Island some reasonable distance from the mouth of the Galveston Bay, and immerse myself in ocean water (something I had not done in... more time than I care to remember. Natalie insists it's, like, 8 years).
I even thought to invite Natalie to go with me, although her initial response involved something to the effect of "...[mumble] more sleep [mumble]..." In the end, we drove to Galveston, hung a right, and cruised to the public access drive immediately past some community with "Jupiter" in its name. There, we spent 15 minutes in deliciously warm (albeit brownish) Gulf water.
The Plan seems to be holding its own. After doing some shopping, I went to sleep at 3:15 pm and got up amlost exactly 4 hours later, which is more than adequate for a nap yet insufficient as a sleep session. It is, however, not bad for a slam sleep shift.
I've got just less than three hours before I have to be on the road... and there's so much to do!
Cheers...
