alexpgpLife was quiet this morning, until the phone started ringing.

Can I do 5,000 words for Monday? Sure!
Ring!
Can I do 37 pages for Monday? Um, sure!
Ring!
Can I do 17 pages for next Friday? You betcha!
Ring!
Can I do 2000 words for tomorrow morning? Um,... er,... yes.
So here I am, awash in work. And of course I have to find out today that one of the BillPay checks never made it to the mortgage company. Whoo-eee! Well, at least that gave me another reason to go to the bank.
My Epson inkjet is sitting there, smirking at me because the black ink cartridge contains ink fumes and nothing else, which is going to make the 37 pages for Monday particularly irksome to do. I believe I will do it using two machines: one to work on; one to display the original.
Meanwhile, I shall have to start doing some OCR on the PDF of the 5K words for Monday if I am to have any reasonable prayer of making the deadline.
Then again, it is only Thursday.
