The only thing required to work yesterday's plan was time and paying attention to the road. By the time I reached San Antonio, it was dark, and I mostly paid attention to staying behind this one particular 18-wheeler for the last leg to Houston.

It was a long trip for Shiloh and the kittens, too.

Poor dog!

I pulled into Natalie's driveway at around 9:30 pm, whereupon Natalie drove us to Seabrook, where I rejoined Galina and we had a late dinner of leftover (but positively yummy) pizza.

The truck has been emptied and we're back in Seabrook. I've relocated a chunk of my office from the upstairs to the dining room, in preparation for recarpeting, which is supposed to be imminent. I plan on emptying the room I had been using as an office over the next few days.

The prospect of a Baikonur campaign in January has pretty much faded from view. Galina says she's not exactly heartbroken over the prospect. To be frank, while it would have represented an excellent payday, I'm confident things are turning out for the best.

In the rush and hubbub of life, this year our Christmas trappings were not brought out for display. So, instead, we shall endeavor to display Christmas in our hearts, and keep it throughout the year. Permit me to start by wishing all of you the blessings of peace and serenity that I have always associated with this season.

Cheers...
