It's late, and I'm tired.
Mar. 8th, 2016 10:26 pmThat pretty much sums up the day.
I've concluded that the edits I'm making in the file I'm working on are largely—overwhelmingly—necessary, which has slowed me down. The sentences of the original translation are hard to read and have been translated in a style that uses no adjectives. There is hardly any "system equipment"—it's all "equipment of the system." Done on occasion, this kind of construction may even improve the way a translation sounds. Done all the time and you start to get annoyed, and should you run across "electropneumatic actuator of the pressurization valve of the high-pressure fuel tank," I (at least) an prepared to start wringing necks.
I have the morning to fix this tomorrow, so I better get to bed and get some sleep. That said, consider this a reminder to recall what sifu said this evening about work stress. It seemed, as he spoke to us, that he was speaking to me directly.
'night.
